The MIC re-election for the 2013-2016 term will see Perak speaker Datuk Seri S. K. Devamany and Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Datuk M. Saravanan vying for the deputy president's post Devamany, currently a party vice-president, was urged to give way to Saravanan but today announced that he would file his nomination for the number two post. MIC is holding elections for its central working committee (CWC), vice-president and deputy president after a protracted crisis between two factions in the party over the results of party polls in 2013.
