The Permata division under the Prime Minister's Department today signed four memorandums of understanding (MoU) and three terms of reference (ToR) with agencies implementing the Permata programme to enhance collaboration in the academic, research and service fields. The prime minister's wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, who is also the patron of the Permata programme, witnessed the signing of the MoUs and ToRs at Seri Perdana today. Also present was senior consultant to the Prime Minister's Department, Tan Sri professor Dr Sharifah Hapsah Syed Hasan Shahabudin. The four implementing agencies that signed the MoU with the Permata division are Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). The signing of the MoUs is to strengthen cooperation, especially in promoting the development of children and to nurture their talents in the related fields.
