Sarawak CM lauds Budget 2016, says will benefit state

The large allocation in Budget 2016 for Sabah and Sarawak is seen as profiting the two states and their people, says Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem. He said the people of Sarawak were grateful for the numerous initiatives and projects outlined, unlike the opposition, in view of the Sarawak elections expected next year. "We are thankful over the allocation which will surely provide much benefit to the people and the economy of the state," he said in a forum organised in conjunction with the programme "2015 Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak" in Kuala Lumpur today. Yesterday, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak when tabling Budget 2016 announced more than RM29 billion in allocations for the two states. The allocation included RM16.1 billion for the construction of the Pan-Borneo Highway in Sarawak and RM12.8 billion for the highway in Sabah. – Bernama, October 24, 2015.]]>
