The statement by Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz on Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is a sincere view wanting Umno leaders to have a certain discipline, especially those holding a high post in the party. Umno Supreme Council member, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, said the reminder by Nazri, who is also a Supreme Council member, was not only aimed at Muhyiddin but to all party members. "I believe we have our methods... for example, if there are differences in political views, Tan Sri Muhyiddin, as deputy president could voice his views in the Umno Supreme Council meetings which he attends. "Rightly, a spirit achieved during the last Umno Supreme Council, whereby the president (Datuk Seri Najib Razak) opted to be big-hearted and embraced and shook hand with Muhyiddin, and reciprocated by the latter, should be appreciated. Whatever differences must be solved inside the party not outside," he said in Kuala Lumpur today. Ahmad Shabery said this when asked to comment on a statement by Nazri yesterday urging Muhyiddin to step down from his post as Umno deputy president if he could no longer properly carry out the duties entrusted to him. – Bernama, February 23, 2016.]]>
