Batu residents enjoy benefits thanks to BN, says Ku Nan

Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor said as a responsible government, Barisan Nasional was willing to spend RM20 million to upgrade the infrastructure in the Batu constituency, despite being controlled by the opposition.  The Federal Territories minister also said because Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak is a caring person, those staying in the Batu constituency were welcome to enjoy using the emenities. "Ladies and gentlemen, you still get to enjoy these benefits even though this is not a BN area, but as a responsible government and (our) prime minister who cares about the welfare of the people, we decided to implement this project," "If it was up to me, I would not have wanted this, I would have given it to a BN area," said Tengku Adnan, who is also Umno's secretary general, after officiating a new bridge connecting Kampung Batu Muda and Taman Metropolitan Batu in Kuala Lumpur today. "But this is a caring government and our prime minister wants to see the people living in comfort. So, we develop (the area and), spend more than RM20 million." He also urged residents in the area to vote for BN in the next general election. Batu constituency is currently held by PKR vice president Chua Tian Chang, also known as Tian Chua. Tengku Adnan added that apart from the bridge, the project, which started in September 2014, had seen several roads, drains and traffic light system being upgraded to ease congestion in the area. "You all should know who to vote for in the next elections. I hope a BN candidate is given the chance to represent Batu," he said. He added that the 50m long bridge across Sg Batu would allow residents in the area to get direct access to Taman Metropolitan as oppose to taking a longer route. "We hope that with this bridge, residents will be able to also use a Komuter station nearby." he said, adding that similar upgrades were being assessed for other areas in the city. – February 22, 2016.]]>
