Stung by the Chinese rebuff in the last Sarawak polls, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today appealed to Chinese voters to let bygones be bygones and give Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem a chance in the state elections due in the next few months. Sarawak Barisan Nasional lost 15 seats in the 2011 elections and the federal BN also lost its popular vote in the 2013 general election, after Chinese voters supported the then opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat. "I appeal to Chinese voters, please give Adenan a chance. Please close the old chapters. Let us move forward to continue strengthening the unity of this state," Zahid told reporters in Kuching today. – February 20, 2016. MORE TO COME]]>
