Health Ministry to prepare diet, exercise plan for cops

The Health Ministry is preparing a health and diet module for police personnel. Bukit Aman Management Department director Datuk Zulkifli Abdullah said the health guidelines or template was prepared based on the performance on reduction of weight, fat percentage and waist measurement by police personnel taking part in the 2016 "trim and fit" programme. The health template containing an exercise plan and balanced diet was now being studied and analysed by the Kuala Lumpur Health and Putrajaya Health Department, he said. "The health plan is conducted based on what is suitable for PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) personnel. "Many standard guidelines are suggested for a healthy diet but they need not necessarily be suitable for us. "As such, the decision and evaluation of the pioneer programme will be used as a yardstick by PDRM personnel to carry out a healthy lifestyle continuously apart from boosting work performance," he said after launching a 3km kayaking event under the programme in Putrajaya today. – Bernama, February 21, 2016.]]>
