Malaysians hate disorder, says Liow on Zaid’s ‘anti-Najib’ rally

Those wanting to topple Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak must realise that the Malaysians do not want to see a disorderly political situation in the country, says MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai. He said the people did not want to be burdened with political polemics while Malaysia needed a stable government to develop the economy, especially during challenging situations. "This is the time for us to move forward and ensure the government focuses on national development. We must strengthen the government. "What is important is that we know the prime minister has been working hard to bring transformation and boost the economy," he told reporters today after attending a Chinese New Year celebration at Kampung Baru Bukit Tinggi in Bentong, Pahang. Liow, who is also Bentong MP and transport minister, was commenting on a statement by former minister in the prime minister's department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim who expressed his intention to organise a closed-door gathering of 1,000 invited guests on March 27, to press Najib to step down.  – Bernama, February 28, 2016.]]>
