Police have found missing Parliament medical officer, Dr B. Sugumaran, at a hotel in Pudu, The Star Online reports. The 50-year-old bachelor, who has been missing since January 3, was found safe at a hotel in Pudu, Kuala Lumpur. "He has been staying there since February 16 and there was no criminal element involved," the daily quoted city CID chief, SAC Datuk Zainuddin Ahmad, as saying. Police had set up a special team to trace Dr Sugumaran following a police report by Ipoh Barat MP, M. Kulasegaran. Yesterday, KL police said they found his personal items including a luggage and mobile phone in a hotel room in Batu Caves. Health deputy director-general Datuk Dr Jeyaindran Sinnadurai had warned of disciplinary action against Dr Sugumaran for failing to report to work. "The ministry is in the process of taking disciplinary action against Dr Sugumaran for not coming to work. "The normal practice is issuing a show-cause letter and let him defend himself. He may not send or respond to the letter, but we will give him a few months to respond first," Dr Jeyaindran said. – February 19, 2016.]]>
