Muhyiddin might be sacked, warns Tengku Adnan

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin could be sacked from Umno if he continues to oppose the party leadership, secretary-general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor said today. He warned Muhyiddin who was suspended as a party member yesterday, not continue his actions that damaged the party. "If he continues in his ways to damage the party, we will send a letter to the disciplinary board so that they can take action to sack him if he continues his destructive approach towards the party," Tengku Adnan told reporters in Kuala Lumpur today after launching a food carnival. Tengku Adnan, who is also federal territories minister, said Muhyiddin failed in his duties as deputy president to Datuk Seri Najib Razak. This was the reason the Umno Supreme Council decided to suspend his membership at its meeting last night. Muhyiddin lost his post as a result. Asked by reporters if there would be a motion brought to the party leadership to propose sacking Muhyiddin, Tengku Adnan said it depended on Muhyiddin's behaviour. "If he continues to (behave this way), wait and see," he said. – February 27, 2016. MORE TO COME]]>
