Najib has extraordinary patience, says Zahid

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has shown extraordinary levels of patience throughout his 40 years in politics, his deputy Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today. The country's number two said Najib had remained cool in the face of numerous challenges and controversies throughout his career. "I saw his extraordinary patience and I was there with him when he was tested in so many ways," Zahid said in his speech when officiating the book "Najib: 40 years 40 pictures" at KL Sentral in Kuala Lumpur today. He described how Najib had addressed a dispute between Barisan Nasional component party MCA and the Malay rulers, just 17 days after he was appointed Najib's political secretary. The deputy prime minister also recalled how Najib displayed unusual patience during a car ride to Pahang, shortly after the demise of the Pahang sultanah. "The driver was driving the car quite fast along the Tun Razak highway. As he was speeding, suddenly a herd of goats appeared on the road and the driver was forced to slam the brakes. "Najib fell from his seat, but he did not express his anger, even though I could see the anger inside him. Because when he is angry, first his ears turn red, then his face," said Zahid. – February 17, 2016. MORE TO COME]]>
