Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has never undermined Umno, party vice-president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal said today after talks of a motion to have the deputy president suspended. He said all Muhyiddin did was criticise party president Datuk Seri Najib Razak, adding that criticism by Umno leaders and grassroots would strengthen the party and the government. "The party and the government no longer capture the hearts and minds of the people. They only reign in the hearts of Umno top leadership. "Yes, I love the party but my love for the country surpasses all. The sovereignty and prosperity of Malaysia far surpass the interests of any interests of any individual," Shafie said in a statement.
