Social media users want Najib to sue WSJ after latest expose

Social media users have urged Datuk Seri Najib Razak to initiate legal action against The Wall Street Journal, after the US-based business daily said the prime minister received more than US$1 billion in his accounts, more than the hundreds of millions previously identified. Others wanted ruling party Umno to suspend the president and carry out a full investigation to clear his name. Debater Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, using the handle @SyedSaddiq posted: "The more they investigate the more they find. Sadly, our AG decided to close the case prematurely. "Assuming Najib is truly innocent, allow a full investigation and clear his name. That is the only way. "If Umno MT is truly for the best interest of the party, they should suspend Najib temporarily while investigation takes place. "Soon you'll see Umno saying 'the world is against us'. 'This is against Islam'. In reality Al-Jazeera reported about this." Another twitter user JJ on @jackjehan asked Najib when was planning to sue WSJ. "Salam, DS@NajibRazak bila nak saman WSJ? Ini penghinaan pada DS dan maruah negara, DS x amik duit 1MDB kan? (Greetings DS Najib Razak, when will you sue WSJ? This is an insult to you and our nation. You did not take the money from 1MDB right?) Meanwhile, DAP lawmaker Ong Kian Ming wondered if access to the news agency will not be blocked following their latest expose with his tweet on @imokman: "Will access to @WSJ be restricted in Msia soon?" Another Twitter user,  @esKahn had this to say: "How dare WSJ disagree with AG Apandi. This is insulting our country, race, religion etc. #lulz." Terry Schrödinger using the Twitter handle @terrynuriman posted: "Malaysia is proud of you Najib. We love you so much. Have a safe trip to Jeddah k bb." – March 1, 2016.]]>
