No one listens to Tan Sri Rafidah Aziz as she is a "nobody" now, Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz said today after her latest reminder to the government to accept criticism. Nazri, who is also tourism and culture minister, said Rafidah, a former minister, could criticise all she wanted but she no longer had influence as she held no position. "Rafidah now is a nobody. She is not an important person, just an ordinary (Umno) member. "Since we practice democracy and freedom of speech, she can bark all she wants, let her be. "She no longer has traction. No one is listening," Nazri told reporters after an event on mosque tourism in Putrajaya today. Rafidah's latest comments on the country's leadership were in her blog yesterday where she said leaders should accept criticism and referred to the story about the "emperor with no clothes". She has been a frequent critic of Putrajaya of late, urging the government to focus on running the country and solving the people's problems. Yesterday she said that she had no interest in returning to politics and was only speaking out because she cared for the country. "It does not mean as a private citizen I cannot and should not voice my opinion especially when they are issues of public concern," she wrote. Nazri today said, "So my answer (to that) is 'lantak dia' (who cares). Nobody listens to her anymore." – February 23, 2016.]]>
