Woman held over seditious post on Johor sultan

A woman was arrested today to assist investigations into a seditious post allegedly insulting the Sultan of Johor (pic) on Facebook. Johor Baru North police chief ACP Mohd Taib Ahmad said the 26-year-old woman, who worked as a guest relations officer, was arrested about 3am at a parking lot on Jalan Sutera. He said police pursued the case after they received a report from a man from a non-governmental organisation at the Kempas police station at 8.53 pm on December 15. "In the report, the man said he read the insulting comments against the Sultan of Johor on the issue of vaping in a Facebook post by 'Chinta Fina' while at a food stall in Taman Putra at 8.15pm, the same day," he said in a statement.
