Bernama journalist in India dies

Malaysian National News Agency's (Bernama) foreign correspondent in India, M. Santhiran died due to complications after being warded at the Primus Chanakyapuri Hospital, New Delhi yesterday. Santhiran, 48, was admitted to the hospital on Friday after suffering from diarrhea. His eldest son, S. Ruthran, 18, said his father died at 11.40pm. "My father had diabetes since eight years ago and, because of it, suffered from several complications such as kidney problem and low blood pressure," he said. He said his remains would be buried in Puchong, Selangor after arrangement with the Malaysian High Commission in New Delhi is made to bring back the body to Malaysia. Santhiran joined Bernama in October 2002 and served as its foreign correspondent in India since February 1, 2015. He is survived by his wife Malarvili Dorasamy, 47, and two sons. – Bernama, March 13, 2016.]]>
