Parliament rejects questions to Najib on RM2.6 billion

Lawmakers are questioning Parliament's decision to reject questions to the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak on the RM2.6 billion that went into his private accounts. Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin (PKR-Bukit Katil) told reporters at the Parliament lobby that he had submitted questions asking for a detailed explanation on how RM2.03 billion was returned and also who it was returned to and whether it was in the form of cash. He had also asked about the banks used and whether Bank Negara was informed about the transaction. His question however did not make it into the order paper after being rejected in writing on March 4 by parliament secretary Datuk Roosme Hamzah. Datuk Mansor Othman (PKR-Nibong Tebal) who had a similar question to Najib was also rebuffed with a similar answer. His questioned was rejected on March 4, with the Parliament secretary requesting the questions be referred to the ministers concerned. – March 8, 2016. MORE TO COME]]>
