PAS not part of Terengganu no-confidence move, says Hadi

PAS is not involved in the attempt yesterday by former Terengganu menteri besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Said to table a no-confidence motion against his successor at the legislative assembly. Its party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang said PAS was also not part of the tabling of the motion against Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman. The party would only be part of such a move if there were reasonable issues involved, he said He said PAS would not be part of something that involved another party's fight for positions. "PAS is not involved. It is a matter within Umno because they have the majority. "It has to be over reasonable issues. We will consider if there is something reasonable, not infighting," Hadi told reporters today at the Parliament lobby. The motion yesterday was rejected by Speaker Mohd Zubir Embong, who said Ahmad Said did not follow the procedure when he proposed the motion. Ahmad Said tabled the motion close to the afternoon recess yesterday. – March 9, 2016. MORE TO COME]]>
