Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has a duty to follow the rules in Umno and not betray the party, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman says today. The minister in the prime minister's department also welcomed Muhyiddin's decision to remain in Umno, saying it was proof that the party was the best platform in the struggle to defend the race and the country. She said that as party member, Muhyiddin had rights enshrined in the party constitution, adding that she trusted that he would use those rights. She said the decision by the party's Supreme Council did not take into account a person's position or standing in the party. "Every member needs to be loyal to the leadership while serving the race, faith and country," she said in a statement. Muhyiddin today declared he would remain in Umno and fight to uphold the truth despite his suspension as deputy president. He also said he would lodge a report with the Registrar of Societies on the legality of his suspension. – March 3, 2016.]]>
