Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Sdn Bhd (Perodua) will continue its policy on fully employing local workers in the company, said its president and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Aminar Rashid Salleh. He said the entry of foreign workers with the lower pay would not influence its policy of no foreign workers introduced by the automative company since its inception. Perodua has a payroll of not employing foreigners except Japanese who were recruited as engineers or with business partner capability," he said when asked on the company's employee recruitment policy following the signing of an agreement to bring in foreign workers into the country. He was met by reporters after witnessing the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Perodua and the Penang Regional Development Authority (Perda) at the Prime Minister's Department today. The agreement would see Perda providing Perda High Skill Institute (Perda-Tech) as Perodua Technical Training Centre while Perodua would provide the equipment as well as learning and training materials. – Bernama, February 19, 2016.]]>
